Over the past year, AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Cursor have become incredibly powerful. Tasks that once took hours can now be done in minutes.

This raises an important question for the developer community:

**Will AI replace junior developers in the next 5 years?**

Some people believe AI will eliminate many entry-level jobs because it can already:

• Generate full components in React
• Write backend APIs in Node.js
• Debug simple bugs
• Generate SQL queries
• Explain complex code instantly

For example, a prompt like this:

`Create a REST API in Node.js with Express and MongoDB for a blog app.`AI can generate a complete working structure within seconds.

However, many experienced developers argue that **AI will not replace developers but instead change the way we work.**

Reasons:

- AI still struggles with **system design and architecture decisions**

- AI code often requires **review and debugging**

- Complex production systems require **real engineering judgment**

- Security and scalability decisions cannot fully rely on AI

Instead of replacing developers, AI might simply become **a powerful productivity tool**.

### What do you think?

1. Will AI reduce junior developer jobs?
2. Or will it simply make developers more productive?
3. Are you already using AI tools daily in your workflow?

Curious to hear everyone's perspective.
